The following instructions should be followed to prevent hematoma formation after blood collection:

   Press the tampon firmly into the injection site and hold until bleeding is complete (approx. 5min).

   If you are on anticoagulant therapy or are taking medicines that prolong the blood clotting time (Aspirin, Andol…), keep your tampon approx. 10 min.

   The arm should be outstretched (not folded in the elbow).

   Release your hand if a certain piece of clothing puts too much pressure on the injection site.

   Do not expose the hand from which the blood is taken to a heavy load.
