In order to investigate lipid status, it is recommended that:
Keep your eating habits two weeks before blood is collected,
Avoid intense physical activity two days before blood collection and do not consume alcohol,
low fat foods are recommended the day before blood collection. Milk and dairy products, fried foods, eggs, fatty meat, white bread, fats and sweets should be avoided.
Cholesterol determination should not be carried out for at least 8 weeks after: acute myocardial infarction, surgery, trauma, acute bacterial or viral infections, and diseases that have secondary effects on lipid metabolism.
