Physical Activity: Greater physical effort should be avoided on the day before blood collection and rest for 15 minutes immediately prior to collection.
Food: The day before blood collection, we recommend regular meals that are not too greasy. If the patient is to be fasted, do not eat 12 hours before blood collection, do not drink sugary drinks, tea or coffee and do not smoke. It is recommended that before the collection one should drink some water in the morning and be well hydrated.
Medications: Impact can be biological (in vivo) or in vitro. If you are taking medication, talk to your doctor before taking it.
Other substances: Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and drugs have a visible effect on the concentration of a particular analyte. It is recommended to avoid these substances at least two days before blood is collected.
